Are you living your values?

Are you living your company values? 👀... In many companies, values hang neatly on the walls, but they're not worth much if they're not lived. Values need to be cultivated - and for them to have real meaning and impact on the company culture, it's important to make them live and become part of the company DNA 🌱

Here are some of my thoughts on why it’s important to make values live in everyday life and be an integral part of culture:

💫 Direction and purpose 💫

They help define the direction and purpose of the company.
Values help tell employees what is expected of them and what is important for the company to achieve.
If the values live in the culture, employees will have a clear understanding of the company’s goals and mission.

❤️ Behavior and decisions ❤️

Values also help define the behaviors and decisions that the company and its employees should make.
In my experience, employees are more likely to make decisions and act in a way that is in line with the company values.

🔗 Identity and culture 🔗

Values are a big part of a company’s identity and culture, and when we “live” the values, employees will feel more connected to the company and its goals.
The company will also have a more authentic and trustworthy culture that can attract and retain talent.

🏆 Differentiation 🏆

Values help differentiate your company from the competition.
Only you can “live” your values the way you do, and employees, customers and business partners will clearly notice.
Your values help to create a unique culture and identity, which helps to create long-term relationships with customers and partners.

… In short, for me, the values help create an authentic, credible and strong company that more easily achieves its goals and a positive differentiation from its competitors.

What do you do to cultivate your company values?
